Job Summary:

  • As a Credit Risk Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in the RISQ/RMA/HPC team, providing Counterparty Credit Risk management for funds, proprietary trading groups, and CCPs.

Key Responsibilities:

">
  1. Conduct thorough risk assessments, including due diligence on clients when required.
  2. Effectively challenge credit ratings and credit limits proposed by first-line defense.
  3. Monitor risk exposures and counterparty creditworthiness.
  4. Raise alerts to the business, first line of defense, and 2nd line of defense management as necessary.
  5. Review or propose risk mitigation strategies when deemed necessary.
  6. Present recommendations for risk limits, one-off transactions, and credit ratings to risk officers.

Additional Responsibilities Include:

  • Coordinate credit requests.
  • Liaise with Business Lines, Legal staffs, Global advisory divisions, and other stakeholders.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

">Technical Skills">
  • Good quantitative skills.
  • Experience in reading and understanding legal documentation.
  • Ability to form, defend, and enforce a risk judgement and take decision independently.
  • Good analysis and synthesis abilities.
  • Comfortable interacting with senior personnel both internally and with clients.
  • Knowledge of capital markets, OTC traded products, Securities lending business, and committed financing facilities.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of overall credit analysis experience preferably in Financial Institution space.
  • CA degree/MBA (in Finance) from a reputed institution.
  • Additional certification like Financial Risk Management (FRM) or Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) would be a plus.
