Job Title: Tax Advisory Associate

We are seeking a highly skilled Tax Advisory Associate to join our team. As a key member of our Indirect Tax Advisory group, you will play a vital role in providing expert advice and guidance to clients on all aspects of indirect tax.

In this dynamic and challenging role, you will be responsible for:

  • Conducting in-depth research and analysis of legal provisions to identify opportunities for tax savings;
  • Drafting high-quality advice, opinions, and compliance reports that meet the needs of our clients;
  • Preparing engaging PowerPoint presentations for client meetings, training sessions, and seminars;
  • Analyzing client data to estimate the impact of tax on business transactions;
  • Building scenarios to identify the most tax-efficient business model;
  • Contributing to the development of articles, monographs, and other thought leadership pieces.

You will also be responsible for:

  • Proactively identifying and discussing technical issues with clients while ensuring firm risk is managed effectively;
  • Handling tax matters related to submission preparation, notice replies, appeals, and meeting with tax authorities;
  • Executing work on multiple client bases, assuming near-independent responsibility for smaller clients;
  • Developing strong relationships with middle layers of client management.

To succeed in this role, you will need to stay up-to-date with firm-wide and competitor activities, as well as general business trends. You will bring value to our clients and managers by applying your knowledge to deliver solutions.

The ideal candidate will have a strong academic track record and relevant experience in indirect tax. A CA or Law Graduate from a recognized institution is preferred. Prior experience in GST and/or customs is highly valued.
