Junior Accountant Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and enthusiastic professional to join our finance team as a Junior Accountant.

The ideal candidate should have a strong foundation in accounting principles and hands-on knowledge of Tally Prime 6, with excellent analytical and organizational skills.

  1. Maintain accurate and up-to-date bookkeeping in Tally Prime 6, ensuring seamless financial operations.
  2. Perform Bank Reconciliation Statements (BRS) regularly, verifying transactions and ensuring accuracy.
  3. Assist in cost accounting and financial reporting, providing valuable insights to the business.
  4. Understand and categorize various transaction types, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  5. Support in payroll accounting and statutory compliance, maintaining up-to-date records.
  6. Assist in income tax calculations and documentation, ensuring timely and accurate submissions.
  7. Prepare and maintain financial records and reports, providing stakeholders with accurate information.

Required Skills:

  • Proficiency in Tally Prime 6 (mandatory)
  • Strong understanding of basic accounting principles, including financial accounting, cost accounting, and BRS
  • Familiarity with income tax and payroll accounting, ensuring compliance with regulations
  • Good command of MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook), with ability to work efficiently and accurately
  • Ability to work collaboratively with the finance team, ensuring smooth operations and achieving goals
