Software Engineer - Java Specialist

Our organization seeks a seasoned software engineer to take on the role of Java specialist. This individual will be responsible for developing and maintaining high-quality software solutions using Spring Boot and other relevant technologies.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Java development, microservices architecture, and excellent analytical and verbal/written communication skills. They will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that software designs align with business requirements and industry best practices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop software solutions using Java and Spring Boot
  • Maintain and improve existing software applications
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet business objectives
  • Peer review code changes made by team members
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation for the codebase, APIs, and development processes

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Experience in both SAFe Agile and Waterfall project methodologies (Scrum/Kanban)
  • Ability to apply knowledge and skills to complete assigned work autonomously with minimum direction
  • IT development experience in enterprise-level projects
  • Java/J2EE expertise
  • Spring Framework and Spring Boot Services
  • Microservices Framework and Microservices Architecture
  • Java tools (e.g., Maven, Gradle, Jenkins, Git)
  • Software debugging/development expertise
  • Strong understanding of software technologies and architectural principles
