Business Valuation Professional

The role of a business valuation professional involves extracting and mapping data from financial statements, tax returns, bank statements, and other relevant documents into valuation models and Excel-based tools. It also entails conducting research on industry trends, guideline public companies, and precedent transactions.

Key responsibilities include analyzing historical and projected financial statements to identify trends, anomalies, and areas for further investigation, as well as identifying and implementing appropriate normalization adjustments to financial statements.

Business valuation professionals are expected to assist in building and refining valuation models, performing adjustments, and applying quantitative techniques to support business valuation conclusions. They must also contribute to the drafting of narrative sections of valuation reports, documenting key assumptions, methodologies, and conclusions in clear and professional language.

A successful candidate will have strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and organizational skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines.

Required qualifications include a bachelor's degree in business, finance, accounting, or a related field, along with a business valuation credential (CFA), CA, MBA or other advanced degree or certification.

  • Responsibilities:
