Job Overview

The Credit Control Manager is responsible for leading and managing the credit control function to ensure timely collection of outstanding receivables, minimizing bad debts, and maintaining healthy cash flow.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement effective credit management policies and procedures.
  • Evaluate customer creditworthiness through comprehensive financial analysis and risk assessments.
  • Approve or recommend credit limits and payment terms based on thorough evaluations.
Receivables Management
  • Monitor accounts receivable ledger to ensure prompt debt collection.
  • Regularly review and reconcile customer accounts to maintain accurate records.
  • Ensure timely allocation of receipts to respective customer accounts.
Collections
  • Lead a team to follow up on outstanding invoices and resolve any discrepancies in a timely manner.
  • Resolve invoice disputes and escalate complex cases to senior management for further action.
  • Maintain regular contact with key customers to secure payments and resolve any issues that may arise.
Reporting & Analysis
  • Prepare detailed reports on receivables, aging, DSO, and collection efficiency on a weekly and monthly basis.
  • Highlight high-risk accounts and overdue balances to senior management for prompt attention.
Stakeholder Collaboration
  • Work closely with the Sales, Legal, and Customer Service teams to resolve credit-related issues effectively.
  • Liaise with external credit rating agencies and legal advisors as necessary.
Team Leadership
  • Manage and motivate the credit control team to achieve their goals and objectives.
  • Set performance KPIs and regularly review team performance to identify areas for improvement.
Compliance
  • Ensure adherence to company credit policies and regulatory requirements at all times.
  • Support internal and external audit processes to maintain transparency and compliance.
