Firmware Development Engineer Role

The Firmware Development Engineer will play a key role in designing and developing embedded firmware solutions tailored for low-power, wide-range embedded devices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain robust, secure, and scalable firmware on Linux-based devices.
  • Work on Yocto-based Linux system development, ensuring seamless integration with systemd.
  • Develop and optimize Linux device drivers and embedded security features.
  • Integrate with AWS IoT Core for cloud-based device connectivity, data exchange, and management.
  • Write, test, and debug Embedded C code to ensure high performance and reliability.
  • Conduct unit testing using the cppunit framework to ensure code quality and robustness.
  • Adhere to Test-Driven Development methodologies to enhance code maintainability and scalability.

Requirements:

  • Good working knowledge of Python and shell scripting.
  • Experience with designing and developing RF products for public and proprietary networks.
  • Experience with embedded firmware development tools such as oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, DC power analyzers, logic analyzers, and protocol analyzers.
  • Excellent documentation practices and communication skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, ability to work collaboratively, and commitment to project schedules and timely task delivery.
