Job Description

A Performance Test Lead is responsible for executing performance testing to identify system bottlenecks, assess responsiveness and ensure application stability under different loads.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute comprehensive test cases, scripts, and test plans based on project requirements.
  • Identify and report defects, issues, and risks clearly and concisely.
  • Collaborate with the development team to reproduce, troubleshoot, and verify fixes for identified issues.

Requirements

  • Performance Testing Expertise: Conducting performance, load, and stress testing for applications.
  • Defect Tracking & Reporting: Identifying, documenting, and reporting defects/issues clearly and effectively.
  • Test Case/Script Development: Proficiency in developing detailed test cases, scripts, and plans based on project needs.
  • Collaboration & Communication: Strong teamwork skills to work closely with development and QA teams.
  • Analytical Skills: Analyzing performance results, troubleshooting, and providing insights for improvement.

Tools & Technologies

  • Performance Testing Tools: JMeter, Postman, or other open-source performance testing tools.
  • Test Management: Experience with test case development and defect tracking tools.
  • Defect Tracking: Jira, Bugzilla, or similar tools.

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • Master's degree in a related field is preferred.
About This Role

This is a full-time position requiring strong analytical skills, excellent problem-solving abilities, and effective communication skills. The ideal candidate will have experience in performance testing using tools such as JMeter, Postman, or equivalent. They should be up-to-date with industry trends in web and performance testing and have a strong attention to detail.
