Regulatory Analyst Position Overview

This role entails providing oversight and management of trade transactions and regulatory reporting processes.

The ideal candidate will have relevant experience in managing stakeholder relationships, performing regulatory reporting BAU processes, and conducting comprehensive reconciliation between source systems and trade repositories.

Responsibilities include analysing pairing and matching breaks, addressing ad-hoc internal and external queries, developing and maintaining procedures, participating in the Trade & Transaction Reporting Committee/Working Group, and coordinating with counterparties and internal technical teams to resolve discrepancies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage stakeholder relationships across departments to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
  • Perform daily submissions, exception management, static data management, and MI (Management Information)/Statistics/Steerco management primarily focused on EMIR and SFTR.
  • Conduct reconciliation between source systems and trade repositories to ensure data completeness and accuracy for counterparties where we have delegated the reporting.
  • Analyse pairing and matching breaks using provided tools and coordinate with counterparties and internal technical teams to resolve discrepancies.
  • Address internal and external queries by evaluating the underlying issues and providing precise resolutions in accordance with organisational standards.
  • Develop and maintain procedures, participate in training, and mentor team members.
  • Participate in the Trade & Transaction Reporting Committee/Working Group to track remediation of current risks and issues, understand upcoming regulation, and adapt the operating model as required.
