Senior Cloud Solution Designer

About This Opportunity

As a skilled Cloud Solutions Architect, you will play a pivotal role in designing and leading the development of cloud infrastructure leveraging AWS technologies.

This position requires a deep understanding of cloud technologies, architecture principles, and best practices combined with strong leadership and communication skills. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to promote higher uptimes, better user experience, and develop future improvements to the overall cloud environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Troubleshoots and resolves AWS service issues across development, testing, and production environments
• Manages AWS services working with internal teams as required to ensure system availability meets project requirements
• Designs builds and deploys cloud solutions using various cloud services and platforms AWS
• Provides guidance and technical expertise on cloud adoption migration and optimization
• Develops scripts to automate systems administration and monitoring activities
• Provides technical support on AWS-related issues monitors solutions and implements appropriate strategies to eliminate performance bottlenecks
• Works with Infrastructure and Product teams on issues related to AWS design and architecture assists with Proof-of-Concept development and testing
• Works with peers within and beyond the team to define and characterize complex technology or process problems and develop implement new solutions
• Assists with the development of Operations white papers proposals and other documentation as needed

Qualifications:

Education:

• BA/BS in Computer Science or related field
• AWS Cloud Practitioner certification AWS SysOps Administrator Certification Certified Solutions Architect Associate or equivalent AWS Cloud EngineeringArchitecture experience

Required Skills:

• AWS Cloud Practitioner certification AWS SysOps Administrator Certification Certified Solutions Architect Associate or equivalent AWS Cloud EngineeringArchitecture experience
• 3+ years of AWS administration experience including API Gateway S3 ECS EKS Fargate EC2 Lambda WAF and CloudTrail
• 3+ years deploying Infrastructure as Code using tools such as CloudFormation or Terraform
• 3+ years of experience necessary including designing and implementing AWS solutions
• Experience on cloud architecture patterns design principles and best practices
• Working experience intermediate of networking concepts routing switching firewalls etc.
• Ability to exercise independent judgment in driving technical problems to resolution
• Excellent troubleshooting and root cause-analysis skills
• Excellent working knowledge of Windows and Linux server technologies
• Experience working with third-party service providers such as vendors and internal support groups
• Ability to plan and implement change for enterprise systems and adhere to standard change management processes

Preferred Skills:

• Experience working in an outsourced managed services environment with some client-facing responsibilities e.g. technical discussions with the client
• Familiarity with WebLogic or equivalent application server platforms
• Familiarity with Atlassian Gerrit Confluence Artifactory Jenkins and other DevOps tools
• Strong Working knowledge of Local and Wide area networking technologies
• Ability to exercise independent judgment in driving technical problems to resolution
• Experience supporting fast-paced development environments utilizing Agile and DevOps methodologies
• Ability to communicate complex technical information to less technical staff e.g. CGI management and client staff
• Strong understanding of broader technology context e.g. network and database technologies
• Ability to mentor other team members in areas of technical expertise
