Cloud Data Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Cloud Data Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our data engineering team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and deploying cloud-optimized data solutions on Azure.

About the Role

This role is focused on delivering high-quality data pipelines and data products that drive business knowledge discovery and insights. You will work closely with data scientists and statisticians to prepare and transform data into actionable insights.

Your Responsibilities
  • Provide expert-level data engineering expertise in Azure, including data capture, ingestion, curation, and pipeline development.
  • Design and develop professional-grade data solutions using Azure services such as Azure Storage, Azure SQL DB, NoSQL databases, and serverless architectures.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to build cloud-native solutions and migrate existing data applications from on-premise to Azure.
  • Participate in data architectural discussions to ensure alignment with business objectives.
Requirements
  • At least 2 years of experience in data pipeline design, development, and delivery, with a focus on Azure Data Factory.
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science or a related field.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, C#, and PowerShell.
  • Familiarity with big data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, and streaming technologies like Kafka and EventHub.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Azure native data and big-data tools and services experience.
  • Experience with data engineering frameworks and tools such as DataBricks, Stream Analytics, and PowerBI.
