Job Title: Cloud Data Engineer

 

Job Description:

The role involves working on data engineering projects that focus on designing, developing, and maintaining large-scale data processing systems. As a cloud data engineer, you will be responsible for architecting and implementing data pipelines, warehouses, and lakes using cloud-based technologies.

 

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Hands-on experience with Python and PySpark programming languages.
  • Ability to design and implement scalable data pipelines using Spark Dataframes.
  • Experience in optimizing Spark jobs for efficient data processing.
  • Proficiency in version control tools like Git.
  • Knowledge of Amazon's Analytics services such as Amazon EMR, Amazon Athena, and AWS Glue.
  • Experience in working with Amazon's Compute services like Amazon Lambda, Amazon EC2, and Amazon's Storage service like S3.
  • Good understanding of data warehousing concepts including dimensions, facts, schemas, and storage formats like Parquet, Avro, and ORC.
  • Well-versed with compression techniques like Snappy and Gzip.
  • Knowledge of at least one AWS database such as Aurora, RDS, Redshift, ElastiCache, or DynamoDB.
