Job Overview

The Ignition SCADA Engineer will lead the design configuration and deployment of Ignition SCADA and MES applications across manufacturing operations.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for architecting and implementing real-time data acquisition, visualization, and reporting solutions that integrate seamlessly with existing OT systems and enterprise IT systems.

This includes developing and maintaining secure, efficient data exchange using REST APIs, MQTT, and OPC UA protocols.

The successful candidate will also manage industrial databases for high availability and performance, collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams to align system capabilities with production and business needs, and provide technical leadership in digital transformation initiatives such as Industry 4.0 smart manufacturing and predictive analytics.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the design configuration and deployment of Ignition SCADA and MES applications
  • Architect and implement real-time data acquisition, visualization, and reporting solutions
  • Develop and maintain secure, efficient data exchange using REST APIs, MQTT, and OPC UA protocols
  • Manage industrial databases for high availability and performance
  • Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams to align system capabilities with production and business needs
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Proven expertise with Ignition SCADA Inductive Automation, including scripting module configuration and project deployment
  • Strong understanding of OT systems (PLC, SCADA, MES) and enterprise IT systems (ERP, databases, cloud)
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex issues
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills
  • Mentor junior engineers and support knowledge sharing across the engineering team
