Industrial Automation Lead

About the Role:

  • Lead the design, development, and deployment of real-time data acquisition, visualization, and reporting solutions.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in MES functions, including production tracking, OEE analysis, traceability, SPC, etc., as well as proficiency with database technologies like SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL, or equivalent.

A solid understanding of OT/IT integration technologies, industrial control systems, PLCs, SCADAs, HMIs, and plant floor connectivity is also required. Additionally, knowledge of manufacturing standards such as ISA95, ISA88, ISA99, IEC 62443, and certifications in Ignition Gold Certified Specialist, OPC UA, or relevant industrial IT/OT certifications are highly valued.

Responsibilities include ensuring seamless integration of OT systems with enterprise IT systems, ERP databases, and cloud platforms, developing and maintaining secure and efficient data exchange using REST APIs, MQTT, and OPC UA protocols, managing industrial databases for high availability and performance, collaborating with cross-disciplinary teams to align system capabilities with production and business needs, providing technical leadership in digital transformation initiatives, troubleshooting, optimizing, and supporting existing SCADA/MES deployments, and mentoring junior engineers and supporting knowledge sharing across the engineering team.

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in industrial automation, specifically in SCADA and MES applications.
  • Strong programming skills in languages such as Python, Java, or C++.
  • Experience with data analytics tools and techniques.
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
  • Certifications in Ignition Gold Certified Specialist, OPC UA, or relevant industrial IT/OT certifications.
