Job Title: Ignition SCADA

Overview

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the design, configuration, and deployment of Ignition SCADA and MES applications across manufacturing operations.

  • Key Responsibilities:
    • Lead design configuration and deployment of Ignition SCADA and MES applications.
    • Architect and implement real-time data acquisition visualization, and reporting solutions.
    • Ensure seamless integration of OT systems PLC, SCADA, MES with enterprise IT systems ERP databases cloud.
    • Develop and maintain secure, efficient data exchange using REST APIs, MQTT, and OPC UA protocols.
    • Manage industrial databases, SQL historian, timeseries databases for high availability and performance.
    • Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams to align system capabilities with production and business needs.
    • Provide technical leadership in digital transformation initiatives such as Industry 40 smart manufacturing and predictive analytics.
    • Troubleshoot optimize, and support existing SCADAMES deployments to ensure minimal downtime.
    • Mentor junior engineers and support knowledge sharing across the engineering team.
    Required Skills and Qualifications

Skills and Qualifications:

The ideal candidate should possess strong background in MES functions, production tracking OEE downtime analysis, traceability SPC etc. Proficiency with database technologies, SQL Server MySQL, PostgreSQL or equivalent is required.

  • Essential Requirements:
    • Strong background in MES functions, production tracking OEE downtime analysis, traceability SPC etc.
    • Proficiency with database technologies, SQL Server MySQL, PostgreSQL or equivalent.
    • Hands-on experience with OTIT integration technologies.
    • REST APIs for system interconnectivity.
    • MQTT for IIoT messaging and lightweight communication.
    • OPC UA for industrial interoperability.
    • Strong knowledge of industrial control systems PLC, SCADA HMIs and plant floor connectivity.
    • Familiarity with manufacturing standards ISA95 ISA88, ISA99IEC 62443.
    • Excellent problem solving communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
    • Experience with cloud-based IIoT platforms Azure IoT AWS IoT etc.
    • Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices in OT environments.
    • Familiarity with containerization, Docker Kubernetes for SCADAMES deployments.
    • Experience in working on large-scale digital transformation Industry 40 projects.
    • Certifications Ignition Gold Certified Specialist OPC UA or relevant industrial ITOT certifications.
