Job Overview:

  • We are seeking a seasoned Big Data Engineer to join our team.
  • The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of designing and building scalable data pipelines using Google Cloud.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop complex data pipelines for large volumes of structured and unstructured data.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify opportunities for data acquisition and translate business needs into technical requirements.
  • Develop and maintain data acquisition pipelines using Google Cloud services such as Data Flow, DataStream, CDC (Change Data Capture), Cloud Functions, Cloud Run, Pub Sub, BigQuery, and Cloud Storage.
  • Implement security measures to protect data in Big Query using IAM roles & Policy Tags, partition/clustering, and authorized views.
  • Apply DevOps and CI/CD practices (GitHub, Terraform) to ensure the reliability and scalability of data pipelines.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in big data engineering and cloud computing.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python and Java.
  • Experience with Google Cloud services including Data Flow, DataStream, CDC, Cloud Functions, Cloud Run, Pub Sub, BigQuery, and Cloud Storage.
  • Strong understanding of data security and compliance regulations.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
