Big Data Architect Position

We are seeking a highly experienced architect to join our team.

  • Maintain architecture principles, guidelines and standards for large-scale data warehousing solutions.
  • Design and implement scalable data architectures using Google Cloud Platform services such as BigQuery, BigTable, CloudSQL, Dataproc, Data Flow, Data Fusion, etc.

The ideal candidate will have strong experience in big data, data modelling, design, architecting and solutioning. They should be proficient in programming languages like SQL, Python, R-Scala and have good skills in data visualisation tools such as Google Data Studio or Power BI.

Apart from technical expertise, the candidate should also have knowledge in A/B Testing, Statistics, Agile Development, DevOps, Date Engineering, ETL Data Processing and migration of production Hadoop Clusters to Google Cloud.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and implement data architectures for big data analytics solutions.
  • Develop and maintain data models, data warehouse designs and ETL processes.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies to improve data processing and analytics capabilities.
Requirements:
  • 12+ years of experience in designing and implementing large-scale data warehousing solutions.
  • 10 years of relevant experience in GCP services such as BigQuery, BigTable, CloudSQL, Dataproc, Data Flow, Data Fusion, etc.
  • Strong experience in Big Data, data modelling, design, architecting and solutioning.
  • Good skills in data visualisation tools such as Google Data Studio or Power BI.
  • Knowledge in A/B Testing, Statistics, Agile Development, DevOps, Date Engineering, ETL Data Processing.

We are looking for an expert who can not only design but also migrate production Hadoop Cluster to Google Cloud.

The successful candidate will have excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
