Cloud Data Architect Role

Description:

The role involves designing and implementing cloud-based data pipelines to support business operations. As a Cloud Data Architect, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and define foundational business data domains and elements.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Data Definition: Collaborate with data product and stewards to capture data definitions and ensure consistency across the organization.
  • Data Lineage Reports: Drive reports that provide visibility into data sources and their relationships.
  • Reference Data Needs: Identify needs for reference data and develop strategies for its implementation.
  • Data Extraction Patterns: Recommend extraction patterns to enable efficient data transfer between systems.

Requirements:

  • Technical Skills: Hands-on experience with AWS Databricks, S3, Snowflake, Python, and Shell scripting.
  • Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills to drive data-driven decision-making.
  • ETL Methods: Relevant experience with ETL methods and retrieving data from dimensional data models and data warehouses.
  • Relational Databases: Strong experience with relational databases and data access methods, especially SQL.
  • Collaboration and Leadership Skills: Excellent collaboration and cross-functional leadership skills to manage multiple initiatives in a fast-paced environment.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively convey ideas and results.
  • Prioritization and Initiative Management: Ability to manage multiple priorities and initiatives while leveraging data assets to respond to complex questions.
