Role Profile: Mechanical Component Expert

This role is responsible for supporting technical experts in resolving Service Now tasks, focusing on main bearing issues.

The selected individual will be the focal point for technical issues between local and central business units, working in a globally responsible team of technical experts. Key accountabilities include collecting information about mechanical component performance, identifying and reporting potential serial issues, evaluating risk potential, and budgeting/scheduling necessary activities related to major non-conformities.

Additionally, the Mechanical Component Expert will support local business units in developing sustainable solutions regarding mechanical problems, create repair and inspection instructions for mechanical component assemblies, and define/implement service processes for mechanical assemblies.

For this position, a minimum of 6-8 years of experience in mechanical drive trains and roller bearings, preferably from the wind industry, is required. Strong analytical and data manipulation skills, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills, are essential requirements.

  • Responsible for creating and maintaining documentation for mechanical components in Teamcenter and Windchill.
  • Update management about potential serial defects.
  • Support local business units in developing sustainable solutions regarding mechanical problems.
  • Create repair and inspection instructions for mechanical component assemblies.
  • Define/implement service processes for mechanical assemblies.
