Job Purpose

The role of the Infrastructure Operations Manager is to lead and manage the organization's infrastructure operations, ensuring seamless delivery of services. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating and implementing the infrastructure strategy, reviewing and analyzing existing infrastructure effectiveness and efficiency, and developing strategies for improving or leveraging these systems.

  • Create and implement an infrastructure strategy that aligns with organizational objectives.
  • Review and analyze existing infrastructure effectiveness and efficiency, identifying areas for improvement.
  • Develop strategies for improving or leveraging existing infrastructure systems.
  • Negotiate the purchase of software, hardware, and other IT supplies as approved by management.
  • Inventory management of software licenses, software, hardware, and other IT supplies.
  • Interact with senior management/peers within the company on matters where they may need to gain acceptance on an alternate approach.
  • Manage outsourced teams for daily operations/activities.
  • Provide solutions to complex business problems requiring in-depth knowledge of organizational objectives.
  • Perform live DR activities and DR drills periodically.
  • Working knowledge of servers, storage, databases, operating systems (Windows and Linux), and network architecture.
  • Production incident management.
  • Regulatory compliance.

Preferred Profile:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.

Experience:

  • Minimum 15 years of experience in infrastructure management for both on-premise data center and cloud infrastructure.

Skills Required:

  • Program and project management expertise.
  • Planning and executing infrastructure-related projects.
  • In-depth hands-on knowledge of infrastructure such as servers, storage, databases, operating systems (Windows and Linux), and network architecture.
  • Very good knowledge and exposure to cloud computing.

Functional Competencies Required:

  • Ability to perform infrastructure discovery assessments and transformation strategy.
  • Holistic understanding of all data center functions (production operations, change control, DR/business recovery, helpdesk, systems management, and facilities).
  • Experience with private and public cloud architectures, pros/cons, and migration consideration.
