SAP Finance Expert Role Overview

This is a high-visibility SAP finance transformation program requiring an experienced SAP finance expert to lead core finance workstreams and manage senior-level stakeholder expectations.

Key responsibilities include leading SAP FI workstreams covering AP, AR, GL, payments, and bank integrations, as well as overseeing SAP-SFDC FI integrations for accurate reporting and seamless data flows.

The ideal candidate will have 15+ years of overall SAP finance experience, with at least 10+ years in the real estate sector. Strong project management expertise and excellent communication skills are also required.

Additional requirements include proven track record as a subject-matter expert (SME) in SAP FI, experience managing SAP-SFDC FI integrations, and strong analytical skills. Excellent communication skills, including the ability to confidently engage CFOs and senior executives, are essential.

The successful candidate will be embedded onsite with the client in Gurugram, collaborating closely with CFO and CxO stakeholders to ensure seamless SAP FI operations and integration with cross-functional teams.

Project details include a location in Gurugram and a duration of 6-9 months. Consultants with experience in top real estate firms are preferred.

Job Description
  • Lead SAP FI workstreams covering AP, AR, GL, payments, and bank integrations.
  • Oversee SAP-SFDC FI integrations to ensure accurate reporting and seamless data flows across functions.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders, presenting complex finance/technology topics in a clear, actionable way.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with project, procurement, and sales teams to align finance processes with business needs.
  • Drive end-to-end project management including planning, budgeting, scheduling, risk management, and issue resolution.
  • Mentor and guide client-side teams, ensuring capability building and knowledge transfer throughout the engagement.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • 15+ years of overall SAP finance experience, with at least 10+ years in the real estate sector.
  • Proven track record as a subject-matter expert (SME) in SAP FI across AP, AR, GL, payments, and bank interfaces.
  • Experience managing SAP-SFDC FI integrations and working across multi-system environments.
  • Strong project management expertise - planning, governance, risk/issue management, and delivery.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to confidently engage CFOs and senior executives.
  • CA or MBA qualification preferred.
