Main Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute the engineering roadmap in alignment with company goals
  • Build and scale a lean engineering team by hiring and mentoring top talent
  • Drive the design, development, and delivery of secure, scalable software products
  • Establish best practices in coding, testing, CI/CD, observability, and architecture
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business needs into technical execution
  • Make strategic technical decisions on architecture, tools, and platform design
  • Set and track key performance indicators (KPIs) for velocity, quality, and reliability
  • Ensure compliance with security and regulatory standards
  • Stay ahead of emerging technologies and bring innovative solutions at the right time

Key Performance Indicators (12 Months):

  • Build and scale an initial engineering team of 5–7 engineers
  • Deliver the Minimum Viable Product (MVP) release of Visiblaze IQ and set the roadmap for enterprise readiness
  • Establish secure, automated Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines and monitoring baselines
  • Define and document engineering best practices and architecture standards
  • Demonstrate measurable improvements in team velocity and product quality

Requirements:

">
  • Minimum of 8 years of professional software engineering experience
  • At least 4+ years hands-on development
  • At least 2–3 years in engineering management (team building, delivery)
  • Proven ability to hire, mentor, and grow engineering talent
  • Experience delivering Software as a Service (SaaS) products (cybersecurity, cloud, or compliance preferred)
  • Strong foundation in system architecture, microservices, and cloud-native design
  • Proficiency in PostgreSQL, Redis, and scalable data modeling
  • Experience with REST APIs and GraphQL
  • Familiarity with Amazon Web Services (AWS) (EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda) or similar cloud environments
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins)
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work with cross-functional teams
