Job Overview

As a skilled CAD Technician, you will play a vital role in the successful delivery of Mechanical, Electrical, and Public Health (MEP) services by creating accurate 2D and 3D CAD drawings and models.

You will work closely with engineers, designers, and project teams to ensure coordinated, detailed, and compliant documentation that supports efficient project delivery.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare Detailed Drawings: Utilize AutoCAD and/or Revit (BIM) to create precise 2D drawings and 3D models of mechanical, electrical, and public health systems.
  • Coordinate Design Concepts: Collaborate with MEP Engineers and Designers to translate design concepts into coordinated drawings.
  • Maintain Drawing Compliance: Ensure drawings comply with project requirements, building regulations, industry standards, and company protocols.
  • Support Project Teams: Assist in the development of coordinated services drawings, clash detection, and model updates.
  • Manage Drawing Registers: Maintain drawing registers, file management systems, and revision control.
  • Produce Tender Drawings: Support project teams in producing tender, construction, and as-built drawings.
Qualifications & Skills:
  • Proficiency in CAD Software: Proficiency in AutoCAD (essential) and Revit MEP/BIM (preferred).
  • Experience in MEP Drawings: Experience in preparing MEP drawings and understanding of building services design.
  • Familiarity with Industry Standards: Familiarity with British Standards, Building Regulations, and industry codes of practice.
  • Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Communication Skills: Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • Time Management: Ability to manage workload, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing priorities.
