Combining scientific expertise with creative design skills, you will produce accurate and visually engaging materials as a Scientific Graphic Designer.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop visually engaging graphical abstracts that represent the essence of a scientific study.
  • Read and comprehend scientific manuscripts to extract key visual elements and concepts.
  • Develop storyboards that outline the visual narrative, ensuring alignment with the scientific content and objectives.
  • Generate rough sketches to illustrate initial visual concepts, collaborating closely with researchers, writers, and clients to refine and finalize the visual representation.

Qualifications:

  • Graduate/PhD degree in STEM fields such as Biology, Biotechnology, Medicine, Chemistry, Physics, or Engineering
  • 3-5 years of experience in scientific graphic designing, communicating science into visually engaging output
  • Advanced skills in Adobe Design Suite (Illustrator and Photoshop)
  • Creating 3D designs in Blender is an added advantage
  • Experience in scientific graphic designing, medical illustrations, journal cover designs, and graphical abstracts
  • Understanding of the scientific publishing & science communication landscape
