IT Support Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled IT support specialist to join our team. As an IT support specialist, you will be responsible for providing technical assistance and troubleshooting services to our clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead patching activities for AIX systems.
  • Analyze and assess patch requirements and their impact on infrastructure and applications.
  • Create and maintain detailed work plans and procedures based on existing design documents, past procedures, and templates.
  • Collaborate closely with internal and external teams to ensure successful implementation of changes.
  • Review customer-requested changes, provide feedback, and implement them in a timely manner.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • 7 years of strong hands-on experience with AIX systems administration, patching, and troubleshooting.
  • Working knowledge of WebSphere Application Server (WAS) and DB2.
  • Experience in supporting IBM AIX 6.1, 7.1, 7.2, and P-Series server technologies in a business infrastructure environment.
  • Experience of administering and supporting multiple systems in a complex and distributed environment, including the day-to-day management of resources and issues.
