Job Summary

This role focuses on building and maintaining robust data platforms using various services. As an Azure Data Engineer, you will design, build, and maintain data pipelines to deliver raw data into analytics-ready assets.

About the Role

The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of data warehousing principles, data modeling, and ETL/ELT concepts. You will work with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and deliver high-quality, reliable data solutions.

  • Data Pipeline Development: Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines in Azure Data Factory and Azure Synapse Pipelines.
  • Data Modeling and Warehousing: Develop conceptual, logical, and physical data models for data warehouses and data lakes.
  • Data Lake Management: Manage data storage and organization within Azure Data Lake Storage Gen2.
  • Data Transformation: Transform raw data into analytics-ready datasets using dbt within the Azure ecosystem.
  • Azure Service Integration: Integrate various Azure services to build comprehensive data solutions.
  • Security and Governance: Implement and maintain data security best practices and compliance with standards.
  • Performance Optimization: Monitor and optimize the performance of data pipelines and data warehouse solutions.

Qualifications

  • 4+ years of experience with key Azure data services.
  • Strong proficiency in SQL and at least one programming language such as Python or Spark (PySpark, Scala).
  • Solid understanding of data warehousing principles, data modeling, and ETL/ELT concepts.
  • CI/CD: Experience with version control systems like Git and Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) practices using Azure DevOps.
  • Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
