Job Overview

This role is responsible for overseeing project costs, ensuring alignment with budgets, and providing insights on cost performance. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of IFRS, particularly IFRS 15, and be familiar with project management and accounting software.

Main Responsibilities
  • Cost Analysis and Control: Track costs across engineering, procurement, and construction phases, identifying areas for cost reduction and recommending strategies for improvement.
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare regular financial and cost reports, analyzing project expenses and forecasting costs for budgeting purposes.
  • Inventory and Procurement Cost Management: Work with procurement to control and analyze material and service costs, ensuring proper valuation of inventory used for EPC projects.
  • Risk Management and Cost Optimization: Identify potential risks related to project costs, including scope changes, delays, or unexpected expenses, and recommend strategies for cost reduction.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • IFRS Knowledge: Familiarity with IFRS 15, IFRS 9, IFRS 16, and IAS 16.
  • Project Management Software: Experience with project management and accounting software, such as SAP or Oracle.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong skills in cost analysis, budgeting, and variance analysis.
  • Communication Skills: Ability to present cost information and insights effectively to management.
