Sports Tech Team :

The Sports Tech Team is responsible for building and maintaining systems supporting family of Sports products/brands, including Eurosport, NCAA/MML, and Bleacher Report.

Job Responsibilities :

  • You will work closely with product/project managers, users, development staff, and senior leadership to implement designs, develop and deploy fan-facing solutions.
  • Drive strategic architecture investments across platform, taking function-wide view of technical solutions and their long-term implications.
  • Independently map business and product needs to engineering projects, driving initiatives from conception through completion with minimal oversight.
  • Serve as key influencer in sports platform strategy, contributing significantly to both tactical execution and long-term technical vision.
  • Evaluate implementation of comprehensive test coverage, resiliency, disaster recovery, and operational excellence practices across Sports products and systems.
  • Demonstrate excellent ability to document technical solutions and articulate them to both business and technical audiences.
  • Establish best practices and set exemplary coding standards for team.
  • Maintain highly available, low-latency systems that successfully serve sports content to customers in production environments.
  • Integrate service health, monitoring, alerting and documentation capabilities in parallel to software development deliverables.
  • Cultivate knowledge-sharing culture among engineers up to Senior Software Engineer level, providing input to leadership on team development needs and growth opportunities.

Key Qualifications :

  • 13 - 16 years of experience in technical leadership with technologies on stack including NodeJS, GraphQL
  • Backend Node.js (with 10+ years of experience)
  • GraphQL (with 8+ years of experience)
  • AWS (Lambda/S3/ECS/RDS) / Infrastructure as code
  • Redis
  • PostgreSQL
  • Unit, Functional Testing & TDD
  • Typescript
  • Fluent in English

  • Technologies Used: API portals (API Gateway, CloudFront, WAF), serverless technologies (Lambda), storage and database systems (Aurora, S3), messaging systems (SNS, SQS), Kafka
  • Agile Practices: Dailies, story detailing, planning, retrospectives
