At CommScope, we're committed to connecting the world, and we need a skilled Design Engineer to join our Base Station Antenna R&D team in Goa.

We're looking for a talented Mechanical Engineer with experience in supporting factory operations, design issues, and manufacturing processes. As a Design Engineer, you'll play a key role in creating new designs, modifying existing ones, and solving complex problems.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Mechanical Engineering, preferably with 7+ years of relevant experience or a Master's degree with 5+ years of experience. You should be proficient in CAD software, structural design, and hand calculations. Experience with DFMEA, GD&T, and FEA analysis is also highly desirable.

In this role, you'll work closely with global design centers to resolve design and manufacturing issues, drive process improvements, and evaluate manufacturing capabilities. You'll also support supply chain localization and ensure that materials are disposed of correctly.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate, select, and apply standard engineering techniques to create new designs and modifications.
  • Conduct feasibility studies and tests to troubleshoot manufacturing problems.
  • Support product development and process improvement projects.
  • Develop and maintain project scope and track activities during the project cycle.
  • Drive DFMA concepts for the business unit.
  • Review manufacturing capability internally and externally and recommend process improvements.
  • Evaluate and distribute best practices to global manufacturing sites.
  • Work closely with design engineers from varying design centers to solve design and manufacturing issues.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering or related field with 7+ years of relevant experience or Master's with 5+ years of experience.
  • Experience in full-cycle new product development projects.
  • Proficiency in CAD software, structural design, and hand calculations.
  • Experience with DFMEA, GD&T, and FEA analysis.
  • Strong knowledge of materials, both metals and nonmetals.

Estimated Salary Range: ₹1,200,000 - ₹2,400,000 per annum.
