Senior Mechanical Engineer

We are looking for an experienced Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical engineering and a passion for design, manufacturing, and problem-solving.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

• Evaluating and selecting standard engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria to create new designs and modifications.
• Conducting feasibility studies and tests to troubleshoot manufacturing problems in designs.
• SUPPORTING product development and process improvement projects.
• Developing and maintaining project scope and tracking activity during project cycle.
• Driving DFMA (Design for Manufacturability and Assembly) concepts for the business unit.
• Reviewing manufacturing capability internally and externally and recommending process improvements.
• Evaluating and distributing best practices to the global manufacturing sites.
• Working closely with design engineers from varying design centers to solve design and manufacturing issues seen in the factory environment and within the vendor base.
• SUPPORTING Supply chain – Localization.
• Disposition of materials that are non-conforming.

We offer a competitive salary range of $120,000 - $180,000 per year, based on experience.

To be considered for this role, you must have:

• Bachelor's degree in related field such as Mechanical Engineering or Master's degree with 5+ years relevant experience.
• Experience working in full cycle new product development projects.
• Working experience of structural design, CAD (Creating 3D models and manufacturing drawings).
• Good hand calculation skills.
• Create DFMEA and identify relevant product risks.
• Experience with standard development tools: SolidWorks, CREO, Windchill, SAP PLM or equivalent.
• Apply GD&T in design/drawings and perform subsystem tolerance analysis.
• Experience in sheet metal and plastic components' design and manufacturing.
• Good knowledge of DFx methodologies, materials; both metals and nonmetals.

• Design to cost and design for reliability experience.
• Working experience of FEA analysis (i.e., structural, thermal etc.) preferably on Ansys tool.
