About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled Roof Rail Systems Engineer to design and develop roof rail systems for passenger vehicles, including hatchbacks and SUVs. The successful candidate will have a strong background in designing roof rail systems using CATIA V5.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop roof rail systems for hatchback, SUV, and passenger vehicle programs, ensuring feasibility considering structural strength, safety, styling, and manufacturing constraints.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (styling, BIW, trim, manufacturing) to ensure seamless integration of roof rail systems.
  • Prepare and review 3D/2D design documentation in CATIA V5, maintaining packaging awareness and interface with adjacent systems.
  • Apply learnings from at least one or two prior vehicle program experiences to optimize roof rail system designs.

Requirements:

  • 4–8 years of experience in roof rail design for passenger vehicles.
  • Strong background in designing roof rail systems using CATIA V5.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Able to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment.
