Job Opportunity: Business Analyst for General Insurance Domain

Role Description:

  • Join a dynamic team as an experienced Business Analyst, working closely with leading General Insurance clients.

About the Role:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop a deep understanding of General Insurance operations across policy administration, claims lifecycle, underwriting, billing, and regulatory reporting.
  • Lead data requirement gathering for projects involving data warehouses, data lakes, and operational data stores.
  • Translate business needs into structured deliverables including Business Requirement Document, Data Dictionaries, and Source-to-target mappings.
  • Design and maintain conceptual and logical data models to support insurance systems.
  • Perform data profiling, validation, and SQL-based analysis to support requirement definition and quality assurance.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • 5-7 years of experience in IT or Consulting, with a strong focus on Insurance Business Analysis and Data Modelling.
  • Strong understanding of one or more insurance processes such as Policy Lifecycle, Claims Lifecycle, Underwriting & Risk Assessment, Commission & Distribution Management, Billing, and Regulatory Reporting.
  • Proven experience with data projects, including requirement gathering, transformation logic, mapping, and validation.
  • Expertise in SQL for data analysis and transformation.
  • Knowledge of data warehouse, ODS, and data lake architectures.
  • Familiarity with modelling techniques like Normalization.
  • Exposure to Agile and Waterfall delivery models.
  • Excellent documentation, stakeholder management, and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications (Good to Have):

  • Experience working on insurance core systems like Guidewire.
  • Understanding of regulatory requirements in the insurance industry.
  • Exposure to cloud platforms.
  • Basic familiarity with data visualization tools.
  • Insurance certifications are a plus.

Years of experience required: 5-10 Years Education qualification: B.E.(B.Tech)/M.E/M.Tech MBA - Preferable
