About the Role

We are looking for a passionate and execution-oriented Product Manager to lead our Distribution App experience the core platform used by our agents, PoSPs, brokers, banks, digital partners and other intermediaries across India. This role is critical to driving business growth by empowering intermediaries with the right tools, journeys, and intelligence to sell faster, serve better, and stay longer.

Youll own the full stack of agent experience from onboarding to quote-to-issue journeys, from training to renewals, and from engagement to retention. If you are obsessed with simplifying user journeys for a diverse, digitally evolving intermediary base and love solving real-world distribution problems, this role is for you.

Key Responsibilities

User Understanding & Problem Discovery:

- Engage deeply with agents, brokers, and distribution teams to uncover friction in their day-to-day workflows.

- Map different intermediary personas new vs experienced, digital-native vs paper-first, metro vs rural and their needs.

- Use insights to shape a roadmap that tackles the right problems be it quote speed, training gaps, drop-offs, or poor experience.

Design Ownership & Journey Simplification:

- Reimagine and simplify complex insurance workflows like onboarding/KYC, quote customization, add-on selection, and payment collection.

- Partner with UX designers to build intuitive, mobile-first experiences that work in low-tech and low-attention environments.

- Ensure journeys are consistent, clean, and conversion-focused across platforms.

Productivity & Tooling:

- Build utilities that improve agent productivity quote comparison tools, sharable plans, calculators, CRM-lite features.

- Integrate nudges, reminders, and notifications to drive key actions (quote sharing, document uploads, renewal follow-ups).

- Measure and improve quote-to-issue TATs, usage frequency, and conversion rates.

Engagement & Retention:

- Design loyalty and gamification layers to drive repeat usage and emotional affinity.

- Collaborate with marketing and sales to introduce contextual campaigns and education modules in-app.

- Track churn signals and reduce agent drop-offs via targeted Collaboration:

- Work closely with tech, design, business, compliance, and operations to ship features at speed and scale.

- Own the product backlog and work with engineering to ensure timely, bug-free releases.

- Ensure the app integrates seamlessly with core insurance systems (policy admin, issuance, commissions, etc.).

Key Metrics for Success:

- Agent DAUs / MAUs

- Quote-to-issue conversion %

- Agent onboarding to first-sale time

- Agent NPS, productivity and retention/churn

- Feature adoption and feedback loop velocity

You Should Have:

- Experience building mobile-first or intermediary-facing products (preferably in BFSI / fintech / SaaS / consumer tech).

- Strong user empathy and ability to translate field problems into crisp product requirements.

- Comfort working with data and defining your own KPIs for success.

- Collaborative mindset with bias for action and experimentation.

- A deep understanding of Indian insurance distribution dynamics is a strong plus.
