Job Summary:

  • We are seeking a seasoned procurement expert to lead our civil construction procurement efforts.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of developing and implementing comprehensive procurement strategies that drive cost efficiency, quality assurance, and supplier management excellence.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement strategic procurement plans that align with project timelines, budgets, and company objectives.
  • Ensure adherence to regulatory standards and industry best practices in procurement.
  • Manage a portfolio of suppliers and subcontractors to ensure timely delivery of high-quality materials and services.
  • Negotiate contracts to secure the best terms and pricing for the company.
  • Lead cost management initiatives by identifying opportunities for cost reduction and value enhancement.
  • Establish and oversee quality control processes to ensure all procured materials and services meet required standards.
  • Collaborate with project managers and site engineers to ensure consistent quality and fit-for-purpose materials.
  • Address any quality issues promptly and take corrective action when necessary.
  • Inventory Management for Construction Materials:
  • Manage inventory levels of civil construction materials to ensure project demands are met without overstocking.
  • Coordinate with project managers to forecast material needs and adjust procurement plans accordingly.
  • Implement inventory control systems to track material usage and minimize wastage.
Key Skills and Qualifications:
  • Proven experience in procurement strategy development and implementation.
  • Strong understanding of regulatory standards and industry best practices in procurement.
  • Excellent negotiation and contract management skills.
