Role Overview

Our organization is seeking a skilled Costing Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our Strategic Sourcing department, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that project costs are accurately settled and margins are protected.

Key Responsibilities
  • Cost Settlement:
    • Collaborate with suppliers to ensure timely cost settlement based on Zero Base Costing (ZBC) and Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) methodology.
    • Establish and maintain effective relationships with suppliers to drive cost-effective commercial settlements.
  • Commodity Monitoring:
    • Monitor commodity expenses on a monthly basis, analyzing trends and identifying areas for improvement.
    • Provide insights and recommendations to optimize raw material and post-operation expenses.
  • Raw Material Pricing:
    • Ensure accurate and competitive pricing for raw materials by visiting suppliers and assessing their capability to control costs.
    • Identify opportunities for cost savings through process improvements and efficient resource utilization.
  • Machine Hour Rate (MHR) Settlements:
    • Negotiate MHR settlements with suppliers for press, CNC, VMC, and coating processes, ensuring competitive pricing.
    • Monitor and analyze supplier claims, negotiating settlements based on proper analysis.
  • Spend Analysis:
    • Conduct thorough spend analysis to identify areas for cost savings and implement strategies to achieve those savings.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you will require strong analytical and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders. A degree in a relevant field such as engineering or business administration is desirable.

Proficiency in MS Office applications, particularly Excel, is essential for data analysis and reporting. Experience with ERP systems and data analytics tools is highly valued.
