Lead the Development of an Enterprise-Wide Data Catalog

We are seeking a seasoned professional to lead the implementation and continuous development of an enterprise-wide data catalog. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in Collibra, with a strong understanding of the healthcare payer industry.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Data Catalog Implementation & Development
  • Configure and customize Collibra workflows, data models, and governance processes to meet healthcare payer requirements.
  • Develop automated data discovery and cataloging for assets such as claims, eligibility, provider networks, and member data.
  • Design and implement data lineage across complex data ecosystems spanning core admin systems, data warehouses, and analytics platforms.
Healthcare-Specific Data Governance
  • Build healthcare-specific data domains in Collibra (e.g., ICD-10, CPT, HCPCS, NDC, provider taxonomies).
  • Implement data classification, sensitivity tagging (PHI/PII), and compliance with HIPAA.
  • Data Retention & Privacy
    • Define and apply data retention and privacy policies within Collibra aligned with member consent and regulatory rules.
    • Manage metadata for regulatory datasets (HEDIS, Medicare Stars, MLR, risk adjustment).
  • Technical Integration & Automation
    • Integrate Collibra with healthcare systems (claims platforms, eligibility systems, provider directories, clinical repositories).
    • Implement automated metadata harvesting, data profiling, and quality monitoring.
    • Configure and utilize Collibra REST APIs for integration with governance tools and BI platforms.
    Required Skills & Qualifications:
    • Collibra Expertise
      • 8+ years of Collibra Data Intelligence Cloud experience (implementation and administration).
      • Expertise in Collibra data catalog, lineage, and governance modules.
      • Skilled in workflow configuration, custom attributes, and RBAC (Role-Based Access Control).
      • Experience with Collibra Connect for system integration and automation.
      • Proficiency with REST APIs and Collibra's extensibility features.
    • Healthcare Industry Knowledge
      • 4+ years in healthcare payer or health plan environments.
      • Strong understanding of claims data (institutional, professional, pharmacy), eligibility, provider, and member data.
      • Familiarity with healthcare standards: HL7, X12 EDI, FHIR.
      • Knowledge of regulatory requirements (HIPAA, ACA, Medicare Advantage, Medicaid).
      • Familiarity with coding systems: ICD-10-CM/PCS, CPT, HCPCS, NDC, SNOMED CT.
    • Technical Skills
      • Proficiency in SQL and experience with healthcare databases (claims, clinical, member systems).
      • Experience working with cloud platforms: AWS, Azure, GCP and Collibra cloud integrations.
      • Knowledge of data modeling and healthcare data warehouse design.
    • Data Governance & Compliance
      • Proven experience with data governance frameworks in healthcare settings.
      • In-depth knowledge of data privacy regulations (HIPAA, state-level laws).
      • Expertise in data classification, quality management, and MDM principles.
      • Experience in compliance reporting and audit trail configuration.
      PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
      • Advanced Healthcare Experience
        • Experience with payer platforms like HealthEdge, Facets, QNXT, etc.
        • Understanding of value-based care, population health, and clinical data integration.
        • Deep knowledge of Medicare Advantage, Medicaid, and commercial health plan operations.
      • Certifications & Tools
        • Collibra certifications (Data Citizen, Data Steward, Technical User) preferred.
        • Familiarity with other catalog tools: Alation, Apache Atlas, IBM WKC.
        • Knowledge of data virtualization and API management platforms.
        • Understanding of interoperability standards in healthcare IT.
