Job Title: Data Governance Expert

About the Opportunity:

We're seeking a highly skilled Data Governance Expert to join our team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in shaping our organisation's data management strategy and ensuring the highest quality of data is maintained throughout our systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Developing and implementing a robust data catalog that aligns with our organisation's data management needs.
  • Crafting an Enterprise Metamodel to provide consistent language and structure across business, data, application, and technology domains.
  • Managing the inventory of data assets, including sources, datasets, products, and business terms.
  • Overseeing the creation, maintenance, and governance of metadata, including descriptions, definitions, and lineage.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field from a reputable institution.
  • At least 9 years of experience in relevant industry roles.
  • Prior experience with data cataloguing, metadata management, and data quality platforms such as Collibra, IBM Information Knowledge Catalog, Atacama, or Informatica DQ would be advantageous.
Essential Skills:
  • A deep passion for data and its applications.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with stakeholders.
  • In-depth knowledge of data cataloguing and metadata management principles.
