System Architect Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Fullstack Software Engineer to join our team and take on the challenge of leading development teams.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Ruby on Rails, PostgreSQL, and cloud infrastructure management. They should also possess excellent problem-solving skills, critical thinking, and collaboration abilities.

As a system architect, you will be responsible for designing and maintaining B2B APIs, collaborating closely with product managers to meet customer needs, and conducting code reviews to enforce clean code and best practices.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to lead system architecture discussions and technical design reviews to ensure security, scalability, and reliability.

You will work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions and drive engineering excellence across the team by leading by example.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Designing and maintaining B2B APIs
  • Collaborating with product managers to meet customer needs
  • Conducting code reviews to enforce clean code and best practices
  • Leading system architecture discussions and technical design reviews
  • Driving engineering excellence across the team
Requirements:
  • Fluency in English (written and spoken)
  • 8+ years of professional development experience
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience with Ruby on Rails
  • 5+ years of experience with PostgreSQL or MySQL (preferably both)
  • Strong understanding of object-oriented programming principles
  • Experience leading development teams of 5+ engineers
  • Proven experience designing and maintaining B2B APIs
  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills
  • Collaborative team player with excellent communication skills
Nice to Have:
  • Demonstrated experience with Hotwire (Turbo / Stimulus)
  • Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines (preferably with GitHub Actions)
  • Knowledge of X12 EDI or LIMRA (LDEx)
  • Background in US Healthcare systems or InsurTech
  • Experience contributing to open source or building Ruby gems
