Key Role: Senior Data Engineer

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Data Engineer to lead the design, development, and optimization of large-scale data pipelines and architectures in cloud and on-premises environments.

The ideal candidate will have extensive expertise in AWS Cloud Development, as well as hands-on experience in designing, building, and maintaining scalable data products and infrastructure.

  • Responsibilities:
  • Data Engineering & Architecture
    • Design and Develop Scalable Data Pipelines: Create efficient, reliable, and maintainable data pipelines using various tools and technologies.
    • ELT/ETL Process Optimization: Develop and optimize ETL processes using diverse tools and technologies to enhance data quality and processing efficiency.
    • Data Model Evolution: Support and evolve data models that drive operational and analytical workloads.
    • Legacy System Modernization: Modernize legacy Oracle-based systems and migrate workloads to cloud-native platforms.
  • Cloud Development & DevOps (AWS-Focused)
    • Cloud-Native Data Solutions: Build, deploy, and manage cloud-native data solutions using AWS services such as S3, Lambda, Glue, EMR, Redshift, Athena, Step Functions.
    • CI/CD Pipeline Implementation: Implement CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform or CloudFormation.
    • Cloud Infrastructure Monitoring: Monitor and optimize cloud infrastructure for performance, cost, and security.
    • Scalability, Resilience, and Compliance: Ensure scalability, resilience, and compliance of AWS-based data platforms.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration:
    • Collaboration with Stakeholders: Partner with product managers, analysts, and engineers to deliver end-to-end solutions.
    • Contribution to Data Platform Roadmap: Contribute to the data platform modernization roadmap and support new product delivery.
    Required Skills and Qualifications:

Qualifications:

  • 7+ Years: Experience in data engineering or equivalent technical role.
  • 5+ Years: Hands-on AWS Cloud Development & DevOps experience.
  • Strong Expertise: SQL, data modeling, and ETL/ELT pipelines.
  • Deep Experience: With Oracle (PL/SQL, performance tuning, data extraction).
  • Proficiency in Python: For data processing tasks.
  • Strong Knowledge: Of cloud infrastructure (networking, security, cost optimization).
  • Experience: With Infrastructure as Code (Terraform).
  • Familiarity: With CI/CD pipelines and DevOps tooling (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions).
