This position will lead technology innovation and product development for the organization and its portfolio of distinct brands.

This role supports the technical and operational lease accounting function to ensure complete and accurate financial close, internal, and external reporting, and the end-to-end lease cycle.

This job is highly collaborative and visible given the lease accounting risk to the financial statements and important stakeholders.

  • Ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP, internal controls, and company policies and procedures for the accurate and timely payment or billing of leases.
  • Support the end-to-end lease accounting process by maintaining proper accounting and documentation of all activity in accordance with U.S. GAAP and in compliance with internal and external audits.
  • Analyze legal documents and determine lease classification in accordance with U.S. GAAP ASC 842.
  • Review lease classification testing in accordance with U.S. GAAP ASC 842.
  • Collaborate with senior staff on a regular basis.
  • Complete month-end close processes including subledger work in CoStar, general ledger entries, and internal and external financial reporting deliverables, including reconciliations, roll forwards, footnotes, and controls.
  • Cross-functionally collaborate with departments to ensure accurate accounting and reporting of lease transactions.
Job Requirements
  • Shared service/centralized lease accounting close and reporting process expertise.
  • U.S. GAAP and ASC 842 knowledge.
  • Lease classification analysis skills.
  • Collaboration and communication skills.
  • Technical skills in CoStar and other relevant software systems.
