Lease Accounting Specialist

We are seeking a detail-oriented Lease Accounting Associate to join our team.
- Experience: 1-3 years of experience in accounting, with exposure to lease accounting or real estate accounting.
- Location: This role can be done remotely from Hyderabad.
- Shift: US Shift (6:30 PM - 3:30 AM)
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and update lease accounting schedules in compliance with ASC 842 guidelines.
- Prepare and post journal entries related to lease liabilities and right-of-use assets efficiently.
- Assist with the monthly close process and account reconciliations accurately.
- Coordinate closely with Real Estate, Legal, and Accounts Payable teams.
- Monitor critical lease dates and ensure timely updates to meet business needs.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Accounting Background: Strong accounting skills with 1-3 years of experience in accounting, preferably in lease accounting or real estate accounting.
- ASC 842 Expertise: Good understanding of ASC 842 and lease accounting principles.
- Technical Abilities: Proficiency in Excel with ability to work with large data sets effectively.
- Lease Accounting Software: Familiarity with lease accounting software like Yardi, CoStar, or Lucernex.
