Job Overview

Protect sensitive information and confidential business data by ensuring the security of developed application code and preventing vulnerabilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Drive software security practices to meet policies, ensuring secure code and remediating vulnerabilities.
  • Conduct code security reviews, analyze false positives, and share best practices across the team.
  • Identify opportunities to implement security best practices and create process workflows to strengthen overall security posture.
  • Participate in agile software development, including design, implementation, and deployment, ensuring secure code aspects are incorporated during application building phase.
  • Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize security code remediation methods while staying ahead of industry trends and emerging technologies.
Your Work Week
  • Collaborate with cross-functional developer teams and engage in code scanning activities within code repositories.
  • Educate developer teams on secure coding practices and assist in remediating code vulnerabilities identified through scans.
  • Implement secure coding practices aligned with industry standard frameworks such as NIST, CIS, and information security policies.
  • Hold regular meetings with stakeholders to showcase progress of software security scans and code vulnerabilities trends.
  • Clearly communicate roadmap, backlog, and team updates across organization.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as computer science or cybersecurity.
  • 3-5 years of relevant experience, with at least 3 years of proven experience in Application security testing, code scanning techniques, software security analysis, and software code vulnerability remediation.
  • Solid understanding of Static Software Application Security Testing (SAST), Dynamic Application Security Testing (DAST), Software Composition Analysis (SCA), and Code Security best practices.
  • Hands-on experience in DAST, SAST, SCA vulnerabilities remediation and reporting with industry-leading toolsets.
  • Solid understanding of CI/CD pipelines and configuration using GitHub actions or automated methods for code security scans during build process.
  • Good understanding of implementing DevOps security best practices while building solutions.
  • Familiarity with cloud-native solutions, application containerization, container orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes), Infrastructure as Code (IaC), helm charts, and YAML template configuration.
  • Solid understanding of API integrations, code testing, integration testing, and UAT testing methods.
  • Scripting or programming understanding with Shell scripting, Power Shell, Python, KQL, etc.
