Agricultural Growth Specialist - Rural Expansion and Engagement

About the Role

This is a high-profile position that involves running funnel, customer acquisition cost (CAC), and cohort analyses using advanced data tools to create an experimentation engine for testing vernacular messaging flows, landing pages, and offers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement data-driven growth strategies across rural markets, focusing on farmers, labour contractors, and buyers.
  • Run thorough analyses of customer journeys, conversion rates, and retention metrics using Google Analytics 4, Looker, or Amplitude.
  • Create an experimentation engine to test and optimize vernacular WhatsApp messaging, landing pages, and offers.
  • Implement attribution and tracking systems across CRM, UTMs, and campaign tagging.
  • Design and optimise campaigns across multiple channels, including WhatsApp, IVR, SMS, Meta Ads, YouTube, and rural influencers.
  • Own and manage lifecycle journeys, from onboarding to retention and win-back.
  • Automate personalised messaging via CRM tools, Meta Business Suite, and WhatsApp integrations.
  • Develop vernacular retargeting and audience segmentation strategies.
  • Create activation playbooks for regional markets, SHG meetings, farmer days, and village events.
  • Launch referral and ambassador programs for farmers and local communities.
  • Manage vernacular messaging groups as micro-communities of trust.
  • Design physical kits and grassroots activations to build brand credibility.
  • Develop and maintain a messaging library for different regions, crops, and user cohorts.
  • Create engaging content, including videos, WhatsApp campaigns, brochures, and case studies.
  • Collaborate with agronomy experts to turn technical information into easy-to-use narratives.
  • Enable field officers with content packs in local languages.
  • Define a rural-first SEO strategy with vernacular keywords, farmer FAQs, and local business listings.
  • Build content engines (articles, videos, reels) that drive inbound demand for advisory and marketplace services.
  • Lead a distributed team of vernacular writers, translators, and editors.
Qualifications and Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • 3–6 years of experience in growth, lifecycle, or rural brand marketing.
  • Proven track record of launching or scaling products in agriculture, FMCG, or rural India (Tier 2–4 markets).
Required Skills and Experience

We are looking for candidates with hands-on experience in:

  • Meta Ads, Google Analytics 4, Hubspot/Zoho, Glide, Retool, and WhatsApp CRMs.
  • A/B testing, WhatsApp automation, and funnel optimisation.
  • Rural audiences – their trust triggers, aspirations, and adoption barriers.
  • Fluency in Marathi and Hindi, with comfort working across rural and urban contexts.
