Leading Physical Design Engineer

We are seeking a skilled physical design engineer to drive our digital IC design initiatives forward. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in digital IC design principles, including floorplanning, placement, routing, clock tree synthesis, and optimization.
The successful candidate should be proficient in tools such as Innovus, ICC2, and Fusion Compiler for place and route, timing closure, and physical design sign-off. Experience with physical design, including floorplanning, placement, routing, clock tree synthesis (CTS), and static timing analysis (STA) is essential.
A strong understanding of optimization techniques focusing on power, performance, and area (PPA) optimization is crucial. Additionally, experience with conducting DRC, LVS, and parasitic extraction for clean designs is required. Prior experience with advanced process nodes, such as 7nm, 5nm, or lower, is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in scripting languages like TCL, Perl, or Python for automating design tasks.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment.
In this role, you will work closely with design, verification, and manufacturing teams to drive tape-out processes and ensure high-quality designs. To be considered, applicants should hold a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering and possess 5+ years of relevant experience. Prior experience with DFM, DFT, and advanced packaging technologies is an added advantage.
