Product Design Engineer

We are seeking a Product Design Engineer to join our team. This role involves tasks related to product design, electrical engineering, and computer-aided design (CAD). The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing general layout drawings for process equipment, creating BOMs for procurement & fabrication, revising drawings based on manufacturing and customer feedback, creating 2D and 3D models of process equipment using CAD tools, and working effectively with project managers and manufacturing personnel.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Preparation of general layout drawings for process equipment
  • Creation of BOMs for procurement and fabrication
  • Revision of drawings based on manufacturing and customer feedback
  • Creation of 2D and 3D models of process equipment using CAD tools
  • Effective collaboration with project managers and manufacturing personnel

The successful candidate should possess the following skills and qualifications:

  • Hands-on experience with software such as Auto-CAD and Solid Edge
  • Arrangement drawing and detailed fabrication drawing essential
  • Preparation of detailed material take-offs on projects based upon drawings, plans, and specifications
  • Good knowledge and hands-on experience of drawing presentation, critical dimensioning, view presentations, and parts list preparation
  • Must have knowledge of manufacturing processes like laser cutting, bending, welding, basic machining
  • Good knowledge and hands-on experience on advanced assemblies and layouts with GD&T, surface finishes, welding details, and engineering notes
  • Working knowledge of SAP system (Better to have)
  • Experience in making GA layouts will be an added advantage
  • At least 1+ years of hands-on experience in Solid Edge
  • Quick learner and adaptability to existing systems
