Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled Chief Structural Design Specialist to join our team in Bangalore. The ideal candidate will have experience in designing foundations for large-scale renewable energy projects, specifically wind turbine generators (WTGs). The successful applicant will work closely with geotechnical, electrical, and civil experts to deliver holistic project designs that meet international standards.

About the Role:

  • Design and optimize WTG foundations using various methods, including gravity-based, spread footing, piled, rock-anchored, ribbed beam, shallow mat, etc.
  • Perform load and stress calculations to ensure structural integrity, considering factors such as gravity, wind, seismic, and fatigue.
  • Select cost-effective and sustainable construction materials aligned with international standards.
  • Prepare and review design documents, including Structural Design Basis Reports, BOQs, drawings, and calculation packages.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality project designs.
  • Evaluate designs against BIS, ASCE, AISC, SBC, EUROCODE, and other international standards.
  • Support certification processes with external consultants and agencies.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (Structural specialization preferred).
  • Master's degree in Structural/Civil Engineering (Advanced Structural Analysis preferred).
  • 8-12 years of experience in the Power & Utilities / Renewable Energy sector with proven WTG foundation design expertise.
  • Proficiency in software: STAAD Pro, SAP2000, RFEM/RSTAB, SAFE, ETABS, PLAXIS 2D/3D.
  • Strong knowledge in geotechnical risk assessment, seismic hazard analysis, hydrological risk assessment.
  • Expertise in wind turbine foundation design.
