About the Role:


We are seeking a highly skilled Senior SAP ABAP Developer to join our team at Boston Scientific. As a Technical Lead for SAP EWM application development, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining SAP EWM applications for the Magellan project.


Key Responsibilities:



  • Develop and implement SAP EWM technical objects, including RF framework developments and other EWM areas.
  • Design and develop Fiori Apps and Fiori Launchpad.
  • Work extensively on interfaces, including BAPIs, SAP Gateway/OData services, API's, and IDOCs.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver solutions that meet business needs.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and best practices in SAP ABAP development.
  • Collaborate with the project team to assure timely solutions and meet project deliverables.
  • Communicate project status, escalate issues, and manage timelines and action items.

Requirements:



  • 8+ years of experience in SAP ABAP development, including working knowledge of Adobe forms, enhancement framework, workflow Idocs, Screen painter, Fiori, and maintenance framework SNOTE.
  • 2-3 years of experience in ABAP on HANA.
  • Knowledge/experience in EWM technical objects, including RF framework developments and other EWM areas.
  • 1-2 years of experience in Fiori Apps development/Fiori Launchpad.
  • Experience working on Eclipse (HANA Studio).
  • Hand-on experience in creation of ABAP CDS views and HANA modeling views (Calculation view).
  • Familiar with ABAP on HANA, to develop extensions on top of S4 HANA core systems.
  • Experience working on interface projects where data was transferred into or out of SAP using BAPIs, SAP Gateway/OData services, API's, IDOCs.
  • Proven ability to quickly troubleshoot issues in SAP programs using a sound and logical approach to deliver a valid solution.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with people in other areas across the enterprise (geographical and functional) to accomplish desired outcomes.
  • Creates and maintains system documentation according to the IS methodology (proposals, designs, test specifications, and other deliverables as necessary).
  • Accountable for technical issue resolution, including diagnosis of problems, recommendations for workarounds, and defect correction.
  • Researches and applies new technologies, development techniques, and best practices by leveraging experience, industry contacts, seminars, and books.
  • Leverages software version control tools and provides software configuration management support.
  • Works closely with the project team (internal and external) to assure a timely solution.
  • Adheres to project plans, tasks, and deliverables; identifies dependencies and resource requirements.
  • Appropriately communicates project status, escalates issues, and manages timelines and action items.
  • Assists in implementing policies and procedures to facilitate efficient operations.
  • Peer reviews other developers' code for logic, best practices, and coding standards.
  • Mentor and coach more junior resources.
  • Understanding of the software development lifecycle and methodologies.
  • Ability to identify and implement process improvement opportunities.
  • Experience with Medical Device or Life Sciences beneficial.
