Job Title: Technical Delivery Director

We are seeking a seasoned leader with a strong technical background to oversee the successful delivery of complex technology projects.

This role requires a unique blend of technical expertise and leadership skills to ensure successful project delivery while maintaining high standards of quality and performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the entire project lifecycle from initiation to delivery, ensuring alignment with business goals and stakeholder expectations.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to project teams, leveraging a strong background in software development to inform decisions and strategies.
  • Partner with business stakeholders, product owners, and cross-functional teams to gather requirements, define project scope, and develop low-level technical designs.
  • Plan, track, and manage project resources, including budgeting and vendor management. Ensure effective onboarding and offboarding processes for team members.
  • Implement and promote Agile practices across teams to enhance collaboration, improve delivery speed, and foster continuous improvement.
  • Identify potential risks early in the project lifecycle and develop mitigation strategies. Proactively communicate risks to stakeholders.
  • Evaluate that quality standards are integrated into the development process. Monitor project deliverables to meet established quality gates.
  • Measure project progress using data-driven approaches. Conduct regular checkpoints (e.g., daily scrums, weekly meetings) to track actions and ensure accountability.
  • Lead change management processes to adapt to evolving business needs while ensuring minimal disruption to ongoing projects.
  • Mentor team members, fostering a culture of inclusiveness and collaboration. Encourage professional development through training and knowledge sharing.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Experience: 15-20 years of experience in technology delivery roles, with a strong track record of managing large-scale projects and teams.
  • Development Background: Significant experience in software development, including hands-on coding experience in relevant technologies.
  • Project Management Skills: Strong skills in project management methodologies (Agile, Scrum) and tools (JIRA, Trello).
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Analytical Thinking: Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on data-driven decision-making.
