Job Title: Security Operation Analyst

Job Description:

This is a full-time position that requires working from our office only. We are not considering candidates who prefer to work remotely.

Castellum Labs is a cybersecurity technology venture that aims to change the cybersecurity service model. Our company's vision is to revolutionize the industry by introducing a new value model.

We utilize SaaS platforms, advanced cloud-based lab infrastructure, and a team of specialized experts to deliver long-term value to our clients.

Our primary focus areas in cybersecurity include application security, network and infrastructure security, cloud security, threat detection and response, and dark web monitoring and OSINT.

SOC Analysts (L1 and L2) will be responsible for 24x7 monitoring of enterprise customers from our SOC Centre in Hyderabad, India.

The role requires continuous monitoring, alert analysis, case management, incident reporting, and forensic analysis. The candidate will operate across three shifts on a rotation basis.

L1 analysts will focus on monitoring and incident detailing, while L2 analysts will focus on incident analysis, data collection, and report preparation.

Experience Needed: Minimum 1 year of experience in SOC technology companies. Companies Preferred: People with experience in SOC tech companies (not from service companies).

Preference: People from strong networking & system admin background who transitioned into security

Condition: Strong interest in cybersecurity with demonstrable works/projects

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Graduation in any science or engineering subject
  • At least one/two years of experience in networking/admin background

  • Dashboard-based outlier monitoring

Desirable Skills and Qualifications:

  • Self-initiated and driven to learn cybersecurity
  • Worked and explored Linux during the last two years
  • Strong concept of cybersecurity fundamentals
  • Basic knowledge on shell & python
  • Deep understanding of MITRE framework in context of real-time monitoring
  • Thorough understanding of the cyber kill chain and its applications in monitoring
