Job Opportunity:

We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented investigator to join our team in conducting thorough field investigations. As a Cruelty to Animals Investigator, you will utilize your research and investigative skills to gather evidence and document conditions in industries that use animals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive investigations from start to finish, gathering and analyzing relevant data.
  • Conduct desk research on animal protection laws and regulations.
  • Travel to and stay on location for various assignments, interacting with experts and stakeholders as needed.
  • Obtain and inspect documents during investigations, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with trusted contacts during investigations, fostering open communication and cooperation.
  • Document findings using photography and videography, submitting detailed reports and materials for public release.
  • Collaborate with experts to assess investigation findings, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.
  • Prepare and disseminate reports and materials for public consumption, adhering to established guidelines and protocols.

Requirements:

  • Prior experience in investigative journalism or related fields is preferred.
  • Familiarity with basic veterinary principles or experience working with animals is highly desirable.
  • Experience as an honorary animal welfare representative or similar roles is considered advantageous.
  • Proficiency in operating audio-visual equipment is essential.
  • In-depth knowledge of animal protection laws and regulations is mandatory.
  • Fluency in English and Hindi languages is required.
  • Able to maintain confidentiality at all times, handling sensitive information with discretion.
